Privacy policy
We keep this simple. We only collect what we need to help you, we look after it, and we never sell it. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who we are
Kelpie Digital is a trading name of Oshy Pty Ltd (ABN 24 638 101 247), a small business based in Concord, Sydney NSW. We set up and look after websites, Google profiles, business tech and systems for local businesses.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Your name, business name, phone number and email
- Your website or Google profile link, and what you tell us in the check-up form
- Details we need to do the work, like account access you choose to share
- Billing details, like invoices and payment records
- Basic website usage data, collected through cookies and analytics
3. How we collect it
Mostly straight from you: when you fill in our check-up form, email us, or work with us. Sometimes we see information inside the systems you ask us to set up or look after, like your email or files. We only access what we need to do the job.
4. Why we use it
- To get back to you about your free check-up
- To quote, do the work and look after your systems
- To send invoices and keep our records
- To improve our website and services
- To send occasional updates, only if you've agreed. You can unsubscribe any time.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with:
- Tools we use to run the business, like our email, accounting, form and hosting providers
- Providers you ask us to set up for you, like Microsoft, Google or your booking software
- Anyone we're required to by law
Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to keep your information protected.
6. Your customers' information
When we work inside your systems, we may come across information about your customers. We treat it as confidential, only use it to do the work you've asked for, and don't keep copies we don't need.
7. Keeping it safe
We use sensible security: strong passwords, a password manager, two-step login and access only for the people who need it. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and analytics to understand how people use it. You can turn cookies off in your browser and the site will still work.
9. Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email hi@kelpie.digital and we'll respond within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first at hi@kelpie.digital and we'll try to sort it quickly. If you're still not happy, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
